Lapping & Polishing Films - 5 inch (127mm) diameter
ULTRAFILM is a premium lapping and polishing film that produces super-fine, consistent finishes. High strength polyester backing provides a uniform base for a coating of micron graded mineral and diamond particles that are uniformly dispersed for greater finishing efficiency.
A carefully controlled resin bond ensures a consistent, reliable and repeatable finish. Clean room coating and converting ensures contaminant-free products.
Abrasive types available include oxide and carbide varieties and diamond --all in a wide range of particle sizes. ULTRAFILM B incorporates a special oxide formulation, for a final finishing step on fiber optic / optic components.
Our 5 inch Lapping films are used on ULTRAPOL Fiber Lensing Machine, legacy connector polishers like the FIBERTEC-12 and many other fiber polishing systems on the market.
