The Quick Release (QR) Plates work with ULTRA TEC standard QR interfaces found on ULTRAPOL Advance and (optionally) the MULTIPOL PRecision Polishing Jigs.

The Quick Release mechanism was specifically designed by ULTRA TEC to allow for rapid microscope tranfer -- i.e. removal of the workholder from the polisher and subsequent repeatable re-mounting after viewing on the microscope.

The plate also has an optical alignment  hole running through its center to allow for use with the ULTRACOLLIMATOR.
