Welcome to ULTRA TEC’s Tools of the Trade presentation. ASAP-1 In Situ is our flagship precision milling and selected area preparation system for electronic failure analysis this year we are introducing features that further enhance backside thinning, decap, deprocessing, and cross-sectioning.
Stage illumination has been improved with the system’s three standard ultra high definition cameras. These cameras are positioned for sample targeting side process view and front process view we have added near infrared illumination for through silicon imaging directly on the machine this can assist in targeting and for post process backside imaging.
The Fluid Control System (FCS) continually doses and removes small volumes of coolants and abrasives ensuring high visibility of the tool sample interface. FCS works in conjunction with the new Thermal Acclimation Plate and our Relaxation Stage to initially bring fluids to process temperature.
We recently added auto head-lift as a standard feature. On the software side, further refinements optimize the system’s overlay and mapping features in addition to RST measurement, the same mapping and adaptive profiling toolset can now drive a physical drop-down tool to map top surface data.
Statistical analysis of thickness mapping data has been refined particularly useful when providing single digit microns of RST – otherwise known as ultra thinning.
These techniques combine together to demonstrate ULTRA TEC’s ongoing commitment to supplying the finest sample prep tools to your trade!
